Engineering CHEMISTRY FOR THE ENERGY TRANSITION
You’re invited to
Ecet2024 Symposium & exhibition
Optimising production & Reducing Carbon intensity
10th September 2024
Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen
Production Chemistry Training Ltd. would like to invite you and colleagues to the second ‘Engineering Chemistry for the Energy Transition’ (ECET2024) event to be held on 10th September 2024 at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen.
Building on ECET2023, next year’s symposium will bring together energy industry professionals to share experiences, highlight examples of best practice, and explore innovative chemistries and technologies that are helping accelerate the move towards Net Zero.
Created by training and consultancy specialist Production Chemistry Training (PCT), the ECET2024 conference will engage and inform industry by providing a forum for operators, contractors, supply chain, academics and other stakeholders to explore technical challenges and opportunities facing the energy sectors.
Delegates will hear subject matter experts reflect on the chemistries and technology opportunities needed to unlock the energy transition as the sectors continue to pioneer low carbon technology.
In addition, PCT will hold a workshop on Produced Water Management on 11th September 2024, again at Ardoe House Hotel.
EVENT THEMES
CCUS – Carbon capture technology, CO2 transport and injection, CO2 storage (underground and other methods like cement) and CO2 utilisation in EOR or other chemical synthesis and applications
Geothermal – Overlap of engineering and chemistry, converting oil and gas wells to geothermal, production chemistry issues including scale, corrosion, water treatment and non-chemical treatment methods
Hydrogen – Hydrogen production, transport, storage
Reducing emissions and CO2 footprint – Sustainable chemistry, chemical EOR, greenhouse gas detection, optimising chemical treatments through digitalisation
Inspiration for this event was borne from a short course Stephen Heath (Technical Director PCT) organised for the recent Oil Field Chemistry Symposium 2023 held in Geilo, Norway by Tekna. Focussing on The Role of Production Chemistry in the Energy Transition, presentations were delivered relating to chemical challenges and the role chemistry plays in the journey towards the Transition to NET ZERO.
We look forward to welcoming you there!
The event is not to be missed and will bring people together from across the industry to share experiences, highlight examples of best practice and explore new, innovative chemistries that are helping drive the energy transition.
On the day, we will feature technical presentations from a fantastic range of speakers to inspire delegates and generate new ideas on how the industry – and specifically production chemistry – can contribute towards achieving net zero.
